Growing Herbs

It has been almost two weeks since Ajeet and I sowed Basil, Dill and Mint seeds. This is an attempt at ‘Home gardening’-something that I’m learning to do. It’s really amazing to see tiny ant-sized seeds develop into seedlings. I’ve never been so excited at watching how plants grow until I planted my own. Dill was the first to germinate followed by Mint and Basil. The seedlings are still very small and I’m hoping they’ll continue to grow even as we approach winter. Here are the pictures of our Dill plant (left) and Basil plant (right), can you see them?
I like using these herbs, which are quite versatile in many recipes, in cooking. Also, they’re recommended for beginners, like me, at growing herbs. This is a website that I find quite useful with this new hobby. http://www.gardenaction.co.uk/herb-index.asp
